How do I recover my Guitar Band progress?

Your progress can only be saved and recovered through Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS). If your account was connected to one of these platforms when you were playing, reinstalling the game and logging into the same account should restore your progress.

If you were not connected to Google Play or your Apple account before uninstalling, unfortunately your progress cannot be recovered. Support is not able to manually recover lost accounts.

I switched devices. Can I get my account back?

If your game was connected to Google Play (Android) or your Apple ID (iOS) before the switch, reinstalling the game on your new device and logging into the same account should restore your progress.

If it was not connected to either platform accounts, the progress cannot be recovered.
Also the cloud save only works for the same platform, in other words, switching devices from Android to Android and from IOS to IOS.

Why was a song removed from the game?

Some songs may be temporarily or permanently removed due to copyright and licensing agreements. This can happen when music rights expire or when changes are made by the original rights holders. We're always working on adding new songs and tracks in upcoming updates.

How can I improve my scores in multiplayer?

Online battles in Guitar Band are not live. The game records matches from other players and you compete against those saved sessions.
Your score in battles depends on two things: how many notes you hit correctly (especially "perfects") and how upgraded your guitar and band members are. Improving your band and guitar is key to scoring higher and winning more battles.

Do I need to pay to play this game?

Some songs can be unlocked for free by watching ads or by levelling up through the stages. Others require a purchase. This is part of how the game works to offer a mix of free and premium content.

Can I play songs offline?

Yes. You just need to have the song downloaded beforehand. It doesn't matter how the song was unlocked (subscription, coins, or ads), once downloaded, it can be played offline. No subscription is required for offline play.

The timing feels off. How can I fix it?

There is a timing/delay adjustment option in the game settings. Try adjusting it to find what works best for your device.
Also some bluetooth audio devices can cause delay, please check playing without earphones to see if the delay continues.

Can I request a refund for a Guitar Band purchase?

You can request it by yourself on:
- Google Play (Android):
Visit https://play.google.com/store/account

- Apple (iOS):
Apple purchases must be requested directly with Apple at: https://support.apple.com/HT204084

Also support can process Google Play refunds if you provide the email address used for the purchase and the purchase ID (the code starting with "GPA"). You can contact and send these informations here.

Note: support does not have the ability to send in-game items for Guitar Band. If you had an issue with a purchase please request the refund.

How do I cancel subscription?

To cancel, go to your device's app store settings (not inside the game).

Can I play in landscape (horizontal) mode?

The game is designed to be played in portrait (vertical) mode. Changing this would require significant changes to the game engine, so it's not something we're able to offer at this time.
